We followed Father Bob since he began the ministry of celebrating the Eucharist at the VFW (OLD Ft. Harrison) in Clearwater. We were with him at the Airpark, and now we are here at St. Francis.

I chose St. Francis by passing down Wood St., so we stopped, walked around the church and I knew this was the one. I have been to many churches and never fit right for me but once I met Father Bob I knew this was the one. I have learned more about church and Christ since I have been coming. I feel truly blessed.

All Inclusive

I found St. Francis by accident while taking my daily walk in the neighborhood. I went online to see just exactly what Old Catholic meant since I was raised in the Roman Catholic church. I had fallen away from Catholicism due to the Vatican’s stance on LGBTQ+ issues. St. Francis is all inclusive, welcoming to all, including LGBTQ+, divorced, all religious and political affiliations. The only requirement is love and fellowship.

It’s been a while

I was looking for a Catholic church for a long time. (Been in this area 3 years) Went to many services bit I didn’t feel as good as I did when I left this service. The pastor is the reason I keep coming back!

Beautiful and Giving

I chose St. Francis because it’s beautiful and giving & forgiving. Love Fr. Bob. I was looking for this special church.

God chose me to find this church on the day my brother died. I found myself on the front steps of this church.

I feel it is so inclusive, everyone is accepted and loved- like God accepts and loves us!

As a divorced woman, I felt out of touch with my Roman Catholic parish and only periodically attended Mass. I remarried in the Lutheran church, and later met Fr. Bob at a funeral where his sermon moved me. When my second husband was in Hospice care, I asked Fr. Bob to provide the Sacrament of the Sick to him, and when he died, he led my husband’s Celebration of Life. Fr. Bob checked on me for weeks afterwards and invited me to his little church. Since then, I regularly attend Mass and serve on the church council. St. Francis has been a place of acceptance and new friendships, and has strengthened my relationship with God. I love Fr. Bob, this church, and its parishioners.

I was a member of St. Roch parish in Tampa. Father Bob became our priest after the passing of Father Roch. One Sunday Father Bob announced that he was having a grand opening of St. Francis of Assisi’s new church. I guess the Holy Spirit must have told me to attend. I did and have been coming ever since.
